The whole villa, just for your group

This isn't a room in a resort. When you book, the whole property is yours: the Garden View and Valley View bedrooms, The Majlis loft for extra sleepers, a double-height hall, a full kitchen, the garden and the terrace. No other guests, no shared spaces. It suits families, groups of friends and couples who want somewhere quiet.

How close is Wayanad?

We're on the Kozhikode–Wayanad road at the bottom of the ghat's nine hairpin bends. Drive up and you reach Lakkidi, the gateway to Wayanad, in roughly 45 minutes, then Vythiri and Pookode Lake shortly after. Why stay below the ghat?

Wayanad town fills up fast on weekends. Staying at the foot of the ghat gives you the same hills and cool evenings without the traffic, and puts Kozhikode's beaches and famous food on the other side, about an hour down the hill (more on our homestay in Kozhikode page). Driving from Bangalore or Mysore, you arrive after the ghat while it's still light and head up to Wayanad fresh the next morning. See our Bangalore weekend route for timings.

What you get

Two bedrooms with AC, The Majlis loft with floor mattresses, free WiFi, hot water, on-site parking and a carrom and games nook. The kitchen is yours to cook in. Food isn't included, but nearby restaurants deliver (vegetarian too), and a BBQ evening on the terrace can be arranged for an extra charge. Pets are welcome.

Getting here

From Calicut International Airport it's about 1 hr 20 min by taxi, and Kozhikode railway station is about 1 hr 15 min away. By road from Bangalore (roughly 320 km) or Mysore (roughly 175 km), come via NH 766 through Bandipur and down the ghat. The Bandipur forest stretch is closed to traffic from 9 PM to 6 AM, so plan to cross it in the day.
